Monthly Tip
Don't go to the grocery store without a list! Try not to buy anything that is not on your list and you will save money by not being impulsive. You will also save money not having to make extra trips!

Carolyn Holland-Koontz, founder of, The Source, is a hands-on professional organizer, not just a consultant.

Carolyn will work right beside you, to help you de-clutter your living spaces, reduce your daily stress level and simplify your schedule. She believes that an organizing system should be about function first, be esthetically pleasing, and suited to your lifestyle.

It is very important that you feel comfortable with your organizer. When you decide to hire an organizer, whether it is, Carolyn, at The Source, or someone else, they will learn a lot about you and your family. As a member of NAPO, Carolyn Holland-Koontz, works by a strict code of ethics. When you hire a NAPO member, you can be sure that you have hired someone who is honest, well trained, and who will respect your privacy with complete confidentially. An ethical organizer will never profit from the disposal of any of your belongings.

A consultation appointment is recommended to see if your personality is a, “comfortable fit”, with that of your organizer. You are going to spend a lot of time together! Carolyn, will assess your needs, and help you to establish your priorities. Then, together, you will develop a plan to accomplish your goals, within your budget. The fee for this initial visit is just $50.00. Carolyn, will come to your home, at a time that is convenient for you, including nights or weekends, at no additional charge.

You will need to have realistic expectations. Achieving an organized life is not an event. It is a process. Don’t expect your experience with your organizer to play like a half-hour TV program. It took a while to accumulate your clutter; it will take even longer to establish a place for everything, and for you to learn to keep everything in its place. You should expect your organizer to be helpful and patient, while you both navigate through this process. The end result, less chaos, is well worth the journey!
